Alexander Komosa holds a B.A.Sc. in Health Physics in Radiation Science from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT). His thesis work involved using adsorption discs to measure radionuclide accumulation in trees and soil from an outdoor waste management facility to identify trends in uptake across a tree’s life. During his undergraduate degree, Alexander completed a 15 month internship with the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission where he acquired regulatory experience on human factors and nuclear security and interacted with the global health physics community through a term with the International Commission on Radiological Protection.
Alexander joined ISR in May 2017 as a Junior Analyst. He is responsible for providing technical support for projects related to safety analysis, software calculations, and radiation protection.
