ISR works with City of Burlington Ontario
ISR is currently working with the City of Burlington to develop a Command Post Exercise (CPX) for the City's Emergency Management Team (EMT). ISR has developed an exercise to train and challenge the Burlington team using our innovative ExCon.ca exercise website. Participants will receive information through ExCon.ca in the form of situation updates and media information from simulated social and traditional media.
This exercise will take place on October 4th and 5th, 2016 and will be the inaugural exercise in Burlington's new Emergency Operations Centre. 80 participants from the primary and the alternate EMT will take part in this exercise simulating a large scale flooding event in the City. This exercise comes just two years after a major flooding event affected the city, reiterating the need for municipalities throughout Ontario to have comprehensive emergency management plans and to test these plans on an annual basis.
